Trinity Play Centre
Welcome To Trinity Play Centre
Started in 1968 Trinity Play Centre, previously known as Trinity Play Group, moved to Duke Street from Church House, Coleshill Street in 1974.
Situated close to the town centre the old school building has lots of space where the children can develop their natural skills, through play, at their own pace in a secure, friendly, family atmosphere.
School Clubs At Trinity Play Centre
We have a before and after school drop off and pick up club from Holland House, both services include either breakfast or dinner.
Our excellent cook, Linda, prepares a freshly cooked lunch on a daily basis. We strive to provide a healthy and varied menu. You can view what your child will be eating on a weekly basis on our healthy eating board in reception.
We will cater for individual children’s needs on request.
The childrens favourites are Cheese and Potato Pie, Roast Chicken Dinner and Lasagne.
A light tea is also provided, usually a sandwich selection, carrot sticks and home made cake. Breakfast is optional.
Water is on offer all day and we have a mid morning/afternoon snack time with milk, water and a choice of fruit and snacks.
Linda was recently awarded a "5H Excellent" rating for Food Hygiene by Birmingham City Council’s Public Protection Committee. We are extremely proud of her achievment.
Trinity Play Centre Rooms
We divide the children into three different rooms where the activities they undertake are more suited to their individual needs. Each child will be allocated a key worker.
You can discuss your childs progress with your child’s key worker at anytime.
A daily diary of your childs activity is also kept and is available to you upon collection of your child.
Butterflies:This room caters for children between the ages of three months and fourteen months.
This is a bright vibrant room where the children are looked after by a staff ratio of 3:1 and the children have a variety of activities to undertake.
The children can sleep as their sleep pattern dictates.
Ladybirds:Ladybirds is our middle room and is for children between the ages of 3 months – 2 years of age.
The children are looked after by a staff ratio of 3:1.
Children are encouraged to be more independent and staff will assist the children in doing this.
Bumblebees:This is the oldest of our groups and the children are aged from two years of age up until they leave school. This allows for interaction between the age ranges.
The children have a wide range of activities to undertake such as art and crafts.
The children are often split into smaller groups where they will learn skills that are more appropriate for their age and skills that will prepare them for entering reception.
